Winter in the Hochkönig

A Schneeberg Winter…

In winter, Haus Schneeberg makes an ideal base to explore the local and regional Ski areas.   If you are an Alpine skier, Mühlbach am Hochkönig has several lifts and runs that are part of the Hochkönig ski area with a total of 33 modern lifts and 120 km of piste with a vertical drop of 1,250m. The area benefits from a cold and snowy winter climate but is snow sure with 95% of ski runs being covered by snow cannons, if needed. There are 37 mountain restaurants in the area so you are never far from a coffee and cake or a hearty meal and a beer. There are also various free wifi access points around the resort.  The Hochkönig ski area is part of both the larger Ski Amadé region (750 km piste and 270 lifts) and the enormous Super Ski Area (over 2500 km pistes and over 750 lifts) which includes the world famous resort of Kitzbühel.  For more details on the ski resort click here.

There are also plenty of other activities to do in the Winter such as these:
